About Us

Founded in 1992, Pennsylvania, USA, by current URBN chairman and president Dick Hayne, Anthropologie was named after his college major (with a decidedly French twist) Anthropologie, which now operates over 200 stores worldwide, has evolved into a leading one-of-a-kind destination for those seeking a curated mix of clothing, accessories, gifts and home décor to reflect their personal style. In 2009 the brand launched its first store in London and now has over 18 stores in the UK and Europe

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Social Videographer to lead the video creation process from concept to final cut.

This is a technical, hands-on, creative shooting role for an experienced filmmaker who knows how to operate across both high-fi camera rigs (Sony/Canon mirrorless/cinema setups) and agile lo-fi mobile platforms (iPhone). Rather than focus on traditional e-commerce studio catalog shoots, this role centers entirely on social-first video creation, brand marketing campaigns, lifestyle storytelling and editorial content.

The ideal candidate blends sharp technical camera mastery with deep social media fluency. You know what makes people stop scrolling, understand how to execute seamless editing transitions, stay up to date with emerging creator culture, and consistently bring fresh, visual ideas to the table.

What You'll Be Doing

Camera Operation & On-Set Production

  • Dual-Camera Shooting: Operate as the primary videographer across both high-fi cinema/DSLR setups (Sony/Canon) and mobile camera rigs (iPhone with gimbals and mobile lighting).
  • Lighting & Framing: Set up and manage continuous lighting, handle natural light on location, and compose dynamic framing optimized for both vertical (9:16) and horizontal formats.
  • Audio Capture: Manage on-set audio recording, including lavalier systems, shotgun microphones, and ambient sound capture for crisp, professional audio.
  • Talent Direction: Direct models, creators, brand partners, and team members on camera to capture natural motion, authentic expressions, and high-energy brand moments.
  • Pre-Production Logistics: Build shot lists, storyboards, mood boards, and equipment checklists to ensure seamless execution on set.

Social Video Creation

  • Campaign & Editorial Storytelling: Translate brand themes, seasonal launches, and creative briefs into visually captivating video formats.
  • Location & Event Coverage: Capture event activations, pop-ups, store openings, behind-the-scenes moments, and lifestyle shoots outside of a studio setting.
  • Visual Identity: Maintain strict visual standards, ensuring color palettes, pacing, depth of field, and camera movement reflect the brand’s aesthetic.
  • Trend & Creator Research: Stay deeply immersed in social media culture—monitoring trending audio, viral video formats, creative editing styles, and emerging creators to spark inspiration for the brand.
  • Proactive Concepting: Bring fresh, actionable video concepts, storyboards, and shoot ideas to brainstorming sessions rather than just executing pre-set briefs.
  • Social-First Storytelling: Craft visual hooks in the first 3 seconds of a video, understanding how pacing, visual framing, and camera movement drive viewer retention across vertical formats.

Post-Production, Editing & Asset Management

  • Video Editing: Craft polished, engaging videos using professional post-production software (Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) as well as fast-turnaround mobile editing suites (CapCut).
  • Color & Audio Post: Perform color grading (LUT application, color correction) and audio sweetening (sound design, music pacing, voiceover balancing).
  • Multi-Format Delivery: Re-frame, export, and deliver master video assets tailored to platform delivery specs, aspect ratios, and visual standards.
  • Media Management: Organize, tag, and archive raw footage and project files into an organized content library.

What You'll Need

  • Strong experience with professional videography, camera operation, and video editing - preferably within fashion, lifestyle, retail, or agency creative teams.
  • Social-First Native: Deep, daily fluency with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts & Tiktok; intimate knowledge of native platform features, trending audio usage, and creator video trends.
  • Editing Mastery & Transitions: High proficiency in creative video editing, including speed ramping, match cuts, mask transitions, and fast-paced visual hooks.
  • Camera & Gear Mastery: Technical proficiency with Sony or Canon camera systems, prime/zoom lenses, external monitors, gimbals, stabilizers, and continuous lighting setups etc.
  • Mobile Filming Expertise: Advanced knowledge of native mobile filming tools, frame rate settings, mobile rigging, and shooting techniques that yield elevated, lo-fi yet high-quality content.
  • Advanced Software Skills: Expert skill in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro), DaVinci Resolve (or equivalent color grading software), and mobile editing suites (CapCut). Basic After Effects knowledge is a bonus.
  • Proactive Creative Mindset: Proven track record of pitching original ideas, sourcing creator-led visual references, and translating social trends into brand-appropriate visual concepts.
