Role Summary

As a Social Media Executive, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Anthropologie’s social-first storytelling and ensuring our brand shows up authentically across digital channels. This role requires a balance of creativity, strategy, and operational delivery. From starring in content to reporting on performance - all while connecting social to the wider business strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Generate innovative content ideas across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Threads.
  • Lead on monthly content calendar planning, ensuring alignment with seasonal campaigns and business priorities and feeding back to the Senior Social Media Manager for approval before execution.
  • Star in content as one of the faces of the brand: must be confident on camera and comfortable representing Anthropologie across platforms.
  • Provide creative direction and concepts to the studio team, ensuring content is social-first and trend-led.
  • Drive IG Stories end-to-end: briefing and ideation, coordinating with the creative team, publishing, and track performance and identify learnings to optimise future creative.
  • Complete wider marketing briefs, ensuring social is consistently integrated into campaign activity.

Campaign Execution & Community

  • Manage daily posting and scheduling across platforms.
  • Lead competitions, giveaways, and internal ambassador activations to deepen engagement.
  • Proactively manage community interactions, UGC, and comments, ensuring timely and on-brand responses.
  • Amplify content through boosting and whitelisting to maximise performance.
  • Approve and support regional content (e.g., Anthropologie Arabia).

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner with eCommerce, on-site, and email teams to link up on social-first activations - from UGC integration to campaign extensions - delivering a consistent 360° customer experience across touchpoints.
  • Act as the connective tissue between social and wider business teams (creative, PR, influencer, paid, buyers, digital), ensuring aligned campaigns and messaging.
  • Support content creators and freelancers, overseeing outputs and ensuring alignment to strategy.
  • Oversee the marketing intern and support freelance contributors where needed.

Reporting & Insights

  • Deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual social media reports with actionable insights. Identifying key wins and losses and feeding back to the Senior Social Media Manager on adaptations that need to be made.
  • Conduct competitor research and trend analysis to anticipate shifts in the social landscape.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of platform changes, tools, and innovations (Dash Hudson)

Production & Logistics

  • Manage social shoot admin, including planning, ordering, collections, and on-the-ground support.
  • Handle product ordering for shoots and social content.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of assets into social by working closely with studio and campaign teams.
  • Update monthly UGC banners for the email team via Dash Hudson.

General Support

  • Provide ongoing support to the Senior Social Media Manager across projects and ad-hoc initiatives.

What You'll Need

  • Creative confidence: Comfortable being a face of the brand and starring in content.
  • Social-first mindset: Up to date knowledge of platform trends, formats, and storytelling techniques.
  • Content creation & editing: Skilled in basic video editing using CapCut and optimising content for social (captions, overlays, SEO-driven captions).
  • Analytical thinking: Ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.
  • Strategic collaboration: Strong communicator, able to connect social strategy with eCommerce, PR, email, and campaign activity.
  • Organisation & detail orientation: Confident managing calendars, briefs, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Community management: Skilled at fostering engagement, UGC integration, and audience growth.
  • Adaptability: Able to balance planned campaigns with quick, reactive moments.
