About Us

Urban Outfitters started out as a single boutique in 1970s Philadelphia with creativity and uniqueness at its core. 50 years on, and over 60 stores across Europe later, we’ve become a destination for emerging design, unexpected styling, One-Of-A-Kind vintage and homeware that makes you want to hit the share button.

We speak to a social community of over 10 million forward-thinking individuals, bringing together a nostalgia for the past with an enthusiasm to shape the future. The UO community are culturally aware, they shape the music scene, they live a digitally native life and they wear style trends before anyone else. At our core, we empower our customers and staff to express themselves, unapologetically, living life in a way that's truly authentic to them.

We are always excited to bring new talent into the room, especially if you share our values:

Progressive — we move with the mood
Creative — we champion limitless minds
Inclusive — we open our platforms to all communities
Responsible — we work to reduce our impact on the environment
Compassionate — we care for each other beyond the 9 to 5

Role Summary

We’re looking for a highly skilled and organised Post Production Image Coordinator / QC Retoucher to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This hybrid role combines post-production coordination, technical retouching, quality control, and digital asset management to ensure all e-commerce imagery meets brand and commercial standards.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end post-production process - from file prep and AI-enhanced retouching to final QC and upload to our AEM DAM system. If you’re confident using Capture One, Photoshop, AI tools, and have an exceptional eye for detail and visual order, we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Post-Production Coordination:

  • Manage the post-production workflow for all e-commerce imagery, ensuring assets are delivered on time and to spec.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to communicate image requirements, timelines, and feedback, chase missing imagery and image issues.
  • Ensure the correct order and naming of imagery, maintaining consistency across product sets and campaigns.

AI-Enhanced Retouching:

  • Use AI-powered tools and traditional techniques to retouch e-commerce imagery to a high standard, including:
  • Skin retouching
  • Garment cleanup
  • Colour correction
  • Background cleanup
  • Compositing (if required)
  • Maintain consistency with in-house visual guidelines and brand standards.
  • Stay up to date with evolving AI tools and best practices to improve workflow efficiency.

Image Quality Control (QC):

  • Conduct thorough QC checks on all final e-commerce imagery before delivery. Spotting issues in colour, composition, cropping, consistency, or retouching quality.
  • Flag and correct any discrepancies with attention to brand and commercial standards.

Capture One Workflow:

  • Handle Capture One sessions.
  • Maintain best practices within Capture One for image tagging, naming, and metadata consistency.

Asset Management & Delivery:

  • Upload final e-commerce assets to the AEM DAM (Adobe Experience Manager), ensuring accurate metadata, tagging, and correct file structure.
  • Ensure the correct visual sequencing and categorisation of imagery within the DAM for seamless downstream use.
  • Maintain image libraries and archive structure to ensure assets are easily searchable and retrievable.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in image coordination, retouching, and post-production workflows, ideally within a fast-paced e-commerce or retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and experience with AI retouching tools.
  • Experience working with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) or similar DAM systems.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a strong visual eye, especially in checking consistency, colour, and image order.
  • Highly organised, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across creative, production, and digital teams.
